The Owl and the Moth

It's been ages since I have painted a noncommission. November I think.. It's about time that I get going again. I finally got the bug and my husband gave me a whole afternoon free of children... plus two naptimes and a late night.. and I got to paint an owl. I'm still thinking about adding some highlights to the owl, but not sure. What do you think? I've been thinking about doing a spring bird series and I think this is the start... I'll do a birdsnest next... Already started.

I'd love your thoughts on this weird eclectic piece.

I love it mel....the beak speaks to me. Don't worry about adding highlights, I think its perfect just the way it is and it looks great hanging up in our living room..I love you

HI!!!!! I miss you- Liz got me onto this blog thing and I saw you and you are so amazingly talanted!!!!! I am still painting thanks to you- I will have to post some of my work- I have done a few Lichtenstein copies by commission for my dad and a couple of pieces for my sister- but you are so amazing!!! Being a mom is so time consumingI don't know where you find the time to do all these wonderful things! Again, your amazing- let me know how you are!

I love it. Can I buy it? Are you making prints of it (we have a thing for owls over here). And I figured out that was paul...but you never know. I made a blog for Selina, posted her first post, and posted a comment...so some of us ARE that egocentric!! :)
