Hollyhocks

My friend Eugena commissioned this piece and is using it at her outdoor cafe as a table top. Hollyhocks used to inspire my mom to want to paint since she had a painting of hollyhocks hanging in her art classroom high school. So, it's sentimental sort of to get to paint them. Thanks Mom for helping me love to paint.

Beautiful! I love hollyhocks so much. So it's made from an old door? Did you sand it down and then refinish it? Looks fantastic!

Mel, you are so amazingly talented. I've decided I can't let you leave the 'ville without commissioning you to do something for me! I'll think of something...

Mel I love the table! It's so fun and perfect for what I was looking for. You are so talented. I wish I had a fraction of your artistic talent.

Hi Melody! I found your blog after doing a search for my name on google and saw the link you have for me. I'm so flattered! The link is old however. My current site is tmourning.com (in need of an update-my pen-name is Tuesday Mourning, btw). My blog is mermag.blogspot.com.

Your work is wonderful. I love the baby books! I'll have to comission one. I'd love to catch up. My email is merrileeliddiard@hotmail.com. Hope to touch base soon.
